Guest guest
Hello all. This is in reply to " Dana in Michigan's " question about uncontrollable giggling. This is seen commonly in some children who have Autism. Many parents have been able to trace the cause of it to foods that have a high phenol/salicylate content. I cannot thoroughly explain it, but some parents are having success with the giggling laughing episodes by decreasing or limiting all together phenolic foods. If you are interested more about this, please visit the enzymes and autism board on e-groups, there is a mom there also by the name of Dana who has an extensive list of phenolic foods. Her son reacted similar to this with uncontrollable giggling, night-awakening, etc. until she removed these foods from his diet. Best wishes.
