"Before I approach my Dr on this matter, I would like some feedback onhaving the same radiation treatment on the submandibular glands. Theyhave been swollen for years but lately they seem to be getting larger.They also seem to be tenderer to the touch, and sometimes painful if Ipress hard.I cannot find any information on the web related to this so if "As I have discussed before, I have had radiation for parotid enlargement, too, and it gave good results. I have slight enlargment of my submandibular glands, but I would not go a second round with radiation. Radiation is serious shit, and there are long term risks of secondary malignancies-- and worse.The doses Dr Gordon uses, while not as high as some protocols, it's still a very real, moderate dose. After a second round, you would presumeably be at greatly increased risk for complications. If Dr Gordon or someone else has a different opinion, I'd be glad to hear it. JB
