Zoloft--how long does it take???

I was wondering for those of you who have children on Zoloft for OCD,

how long did it take after starting Zoloft before you saw

improvement. I know it takes antidepressants a while to build up in

your system as I take them for major depression. I was just wondering

how long until I start to see an improvement?

I noticed a lift in my (OCD)son's mood/outlook within the first week;

the obsessions were a little slower to improve, but we noticed a

welcome difference in them at about three weeks, which then continued

to improve day-by-day over the next several weeks. My husband didn't

have a depressed mood when he began, so it took a little longer to get

at the obessions for him - I would say about 6-8 weeks (he had some

improvement I could see before then, but about 6-8 weeks is when HE

really began to notice a big difference).
