Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just got an email from our immuno and he told me that he just got the rest of our family's test results back. It appears that they all (Hayden, Evan, Kelsey and my hubby) not only have a selective antibody deficiency and IgG1 deficiency(mild), but they also have a complement defect, and defective Memory B cells and NK cells. They have all been on prophylactic antibiotics since Kelsey was hospitalized with pneumonia in November, however they continue to have breakthrough infections. Any chance IVIG would help? Could they even qualify for treatment without having hypogam or full antibody dysfunction? Mom to Conner (11, Asperger's, mild CP, partial seizures, asthma, GERD, Hashimoto's disease, hypogammaglobulinemia, complement deficiency, antibody deficiency, NK cell defect, and resolved adrenal insufficiency), Hayden (11, PDD-NOS, IBS and moderate hearing loss/aided), Evan (11, asthma and mild hearing loss/unaided), and Kelsey - (10, asthma) Please visit us at www.caringbridge.org/in/connersmith
