Guest guest
So, an immune disorder could be causing her to have this stomach pain--even though her endoscopy looked perfect? just trying to get a handle on this. Hi Valarie, here, I was just catching up on posts. has a tough time with stomach pain, her endoscopys are fine as well, we now take her to a Peds GI specialist in Boston, so much better than the one here. She is on Prevacid for GERD, antacids as well when needed, but he started her on Culturelle a probiotic to see if that would help her pain, amazingly it has. She does not complain half as much as she used to. Her weight is another matter, she is 10, weighs 57 pounds, is in a size 7-8 which she doesn't appreciate! She is on two supplements, when she will take them, and now an appetite enhancer ( although we stopped it for a week I think it is making her hyper.) She is a picky eater, allergic to eggs and milk, will eat chicken nuggets or tenders, peanut butter and jelly , pasta and fruit. My family also thought we should be firmer with her, well it doesn't work, she knows what she can tolerate and we let her. Life is tough enough for these kids without forcing food down them if they don't want or like it. She also has fatigue issues, they are better since IVIG, but she will still nap when tired, sleeps until 9:30-10:00 every day, she is home tutored by our school district since she cannot tolerate all the germs at this time. Right now she is getting my cold, ugh. I hate it when I pass things to her. She was up all night coughing last night, as today was IVIG we will see how tomorrow is.
