Guest guest Posted July 4, 2006 Report Share Posted July 4, 2006 Yes, our 11 yo son has PANDAS. His first bout with PANDAS (and a boutload of sx overnight) lasted about 6 weeks (4 years ago). By the time we got in to the tic and anxiety clinic at UCLA sx were reduced by about 80%. Unfortunately, the sx (tics, OCD, mood changes, etc) have returned in distinct bouts. You were very fortunate to have 2 professionals (pedi and SLP) in your dd's life familiar with this phenomenon. Nice to " meet " you! He had strep in December, then a MMR & DPT vaccination on Dec 31. He got extreme OCD & TICs on Jan 2. He did have high strep titres when diagnosed.
