Guest guest
Hello again! According to Geri's wishes, we will be holding an Open House for all family and friends who wish to come and join us in celebrating Geri's life ....... with a party! What else? She wanted it to be a happy time. With her maiden name " Fitzgerald " , a type of wake is only appropriate. In spirit, Geri will be organizing and enjoying it with us. She brought us so much laughter and fun during her life and she is just not going to let a little something like this stop her! :-) When: Saturday, May 7th, 2005 Time: 4 pm - 7 pm Of course, +- 4-5 hours is the norm :-) Where: Our home (A special reflection of Geri!) 3461 Trumbull Street, San Diego, CA 92106 Dress: Casual ............. No Black!!! Food: If you would like to bring a plate of hors d'oevres, cookies, etc., please call me 619-222-1104 to coordinate. We don't want any leftovers/waste. Drinks: I will be supplying the wine & beer - Again, we don't want any waste/leftovers! :-) Ceremony: No formal ceremony or speeches are planned, just good fun, great laughter and wonderful friends! Maybe a little music, too .................. Probably organized by . :-) Flowers?: PLEASE NO FLOWERS! Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Geri's name to: San Diego Hospice - www.sdhospice.org/ or, IRI (Make checks payable to IRI - Salvador - see below my signature) for therapy for Geri & my friend, Salvador, Magdalena's 12 year old son who has CP. Magdalena has been an incredible help & blessing to Geri & our family during the past year. The proposed therapy is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) if Magdalena should so choose. Any donations that are not used by Salvador will be forwarded to San Diego Hospice at a later date. IRI is the charity I created when we sold Fancy Pants but has been very inactive due to Geri's challenges since then. Anyone wishing to read about HBOT, may visit http://miraclemountain.homestead.com/HBOTforCP.html#anchor_11 http://www.hbot4u.com/ http://www.netnet.net/mums/ I have committed $4000 for Salvador's first 40 treatments and I believe he will need over 120 treatments. or, Youth Tennis San Diego - www.barnestenniscenter.com Geri & I loved and supported this wonderful center for years while we had Fancy Pants & Geri played there often. Looking forward to seeing you if at all possible. Please let other friends of Geri's know. Sorry you folks in faraway places will not be with us - You will miss another one of Geri's great parties. We will enjoy your spirits though.
