Hi Everyone,

I sit here while my 2 boys sleep (yes they sleep at the same time, a

great blessing) suddenly concerned about my almost 12 month old. My 2

1/2 yr old JAck has Oral Apraxia, si and mild pdd. When Jack was an

infant he did babble alot, held his head up, rolled over, crawled,

walked etc. at all the appropriate times sometimes early. I was

talking to my sister today who has 2 girls both 3-4 months younger

than my 2 boys. She was saying that her 8 month old is saying DADA

and all of a sudden I thought oh is not doing that at almost 12

months. her oldest who is 27 months was also doing this at 8 months

and now speaks in full sentences. Jack did babble but only MAMA came

at 11 months and stopped. I am extremely concerned that I may be

dealing with another child that may have some speech delay. He too

has also hit every milestone on time and some very early. Although he

is not taking steps yet, he does cruise the furniture, and actually

JAck was taking lots of steps at this time. I know I should not

compare them with each other or with other children but I guess it is

just hard with all we go through. I wonder if I should have

evaluated now, and since no 2 children with Apraxia are alike what

should I be looking for? That may seem like a stupid ? but I am still

new to this diagnosis.

Is it possible to give the children's efa's now. I give Jack the

pro efa but have a bottle of the children's with just omega 3.

is almost 12 months

27 lbs and 31 1/2 " yes a very big boy, who I pray everyday that he

starts walking because my arms are getting very tired LOL!!!!

Thank you all for any advice especially from parents with more than 1

child with apraxia.

Sincerely,

Eileen
