There is a form of OCD called Scrupulosity. It takes

religious teachings and takes them too far -- to the

point of obsession. There are some religious

teachings that could be pretty scary to an OCD child

who takes things too much to heart (as most of them

seem to do). The possibility there is a God who might

send you to hell if you have a bad thought is a big

problem for a child with OCD.

Maybe the yelling in your ear was a survival technique

so that he wouldn't have to hear something he was

hearing.

My son has used the word " bored " to mean that he was

feeling anxiety.

Just a thought.

Thanks, very helpful and interesting to know.

The word " bored " my therapist said that bored very rarely actually means

bored. I think you are right in that it usually means feeling anxious with

him He says it a lot when he is in a restaurant and church.

Thanks
