Second IVIG

Thursday was our second IVIG. We had slowed Savannah's rate down and

she did not have any backache or fever at all. She did say she felt a

little bit nauseous near the end, but was ok with it and ate just fine

during. Brennan did just fine. They got gammagard this time. I wonder

if that is why savannah didnt react like last time, or if it was just

the slowed rate. She was fine for school yesterday with plenty of

energy,which was nice to see.

Sitting there in the infusion room I was thinking back over the last

month, and I spoke with Savannah about this as well, yesterday.

In the last month, any stomach aches she has had have been controlled

with tums and tylenol, and not up all night screaming. she has not

vomited in at least 3 weeks.

Leg cramps........have not been nearly as bad. We have not had an up

all night screaming leg cramp night in at least 3 weeks, as well.

Her appetite is picking up, in almost a funny way. The last few yrs

have been like pulling teeth to get her to eat anything.........the

last few weeks have been more like FEED ME NOW!!NOW!!!RIGHT THIS

MINUTE AND I CANT WAIT!!!NOW!!FOOD!!

AND!!!!! Savannah has gained weight.......all the way up to 58 pounds!!!

IN the last 2 yrs, she has steadily hung around 54-56 pounds, dropping

back and forth,back and forth. She did get up to 59 pounds over last

summer, breifly, but as soon as fall came and her asthma and sinuses

and blah blah blah started, that went back down to 54 and never really

came back up.

I dont know if IVIG can work this quickly or not,but we are definitely

seeing changes.

Also, Olivia and Donovan have been sick with a cold that morphed and

they are on antibiotics, and Savannah and Brennan got the same cold,

but with just a few days of sudafed, cough syrup and upped neb

treatments, they seem to be recovering sooner than the other two(and

they are usually the ones who end up in the ER from " just a cold " .)

Cassie, how did do? Did he have his on Thursday as well? Are

you seeing many improvements yet? I know you guys started the month

before we did.
