this was absolutley amazing and made me cry. my son is 6 and has aspergers as well. you described it so beautifully. thank you for sharing that. kari <Mama@...> wrote: My son Jakob is 6 years old and has Aspergers. Mutable Paradise A gate and key need be found Crystal rainbows all around A rocking wonder Rarely slumbers Bright blue sky A world up high Song’s the word The chirping bird On my plane I like to remain Celebrated and understood How I wish the other world could See and hear the way I do If only they really knew Of the beauty that I speak I am there my mind’s not weak If I must learn to act like one of you Then there is something you must do Come to my side once in a while So I can teach you my learning style Copyright © 2007 Leigh

A gate and key need be found

Crystal rainbows all around

A rocking wonder

Rarely slumbers

Bright blue sky

A world up high

Song’s the word

The chirping bird

On my plane

I like to remain

Celebrated and understood

How I wish the other world could

See and hear the way I do

If only they really knew

Of the beauty that I speak

I am there my mind’s not weak

If I must learn to act like one of you

Then there is something you must do

Come to my side once in a while

So I can teach you my learning style

Thank you so much Kari. While our children need understanding their parents are not understood either. Parents of non ASD children just don't get it.
