Guest guest
Hi everyone, My son, now 3 1/2, was diagnosed with oral/motor issues and severe verbal apraxia, as well as motor planning problems, a little over a year ago. What's confusing/frustrating is that he did have speech up 10 about 20 months (was starting two-word sentances), and then slowly stopped. We don't have an official pdd diagnosis, much to my frustration with the dr.s in my area, but his school agrees that he is " in the spectrum " . Currently he is non verbal. He has been gfcf for a few weeks, and we started proEfa last Sunday, after reading about it here. I had read Dr. Stordy's book, and we had tried omegas in the past, but not a combination like proEfa. So far I'm not noticing any big verbal changes, but he seems like he's become much more agile in the past few days - more adept with stairs and he's able to get up on a high stool with no assistance -- something he definitely couldn't do last week. I don't want to get overly excited, but is this a good sign? Thanks for listening, Jen, mama to Luc (3.6, dsi, apraxia, and pdd?)
