Guest guest
hi everyone, I am new to . My daughter, 15, has been sick much of her life but was not diagnosed with CVID until last October. She began IVIG in January. Before her dose in Feb, she came down with meningitis. She seemed to be getting better but after a partial day back at school, began with chronic daily migraines, leg pain, and temps between 99.5 and 101. Blood work shows normal sed rate and CRT. Hpspitalization for four days DHE IV treatment greatly helped the migraines but temp and leg pain persist. Have any of you experienced anything like this with your children, especially the temp? A rheumatology nurse told me today that 99.5 to 101 is not a fever (even though most mornings she runs 97.8...) and WITHOUT SEEING HER that she probably has fibromyalgia. I have fibromyalgia and I do not run temps unless I am ill. Her leg pain is enough that it hurts her all the time, frequently to even walk around the house. She has always been very athletic, in spite of illness, but not dreads even standing in the shower and opts for baths. Could she be fighting viruses since she is still so new to IVIG?? I really don't know....we are waiting to be seen at UCLA in 2 weeks. Thanks to anyone with any ideas! mom of amanda
