Well it's another year ending and a new year beginning. I hope all of

you and your families had a very Merry Christmas and hope you have a

Happy New Year as well. I would like to take the time to welcome all

new members. If you have yet to introduce yourself, pleae do so. This

list has a wonderful group of people that have been such a support.

With that said, I would like to take the time to remind everyone here

of the rules. I don't ask for very much. I do ask that everyone be

respectful, even when you disagree. On a list like this, we will

never all agree with each other all the time. I created this list,

being the mom of 4 boys on the spectrum, as a way to vent, offer and

get support, and share our stories, heartaches, treatments, etc. I

notice a lot of people have joined lately to get support and needing

help. That's what this list is all about. I also notice lately there

is a lot of posting listing scriptures and preaching. I would prefer

these posts being taken off the list privately. We all come from

different cultures and backgrounds. We all have different political

and religious beliefs. So when you begin posting religion and

preaching and talking politics, people always end up arguing, and

sometimes even getting nasty. These are very sensitive and touchy

subjects for many. I have seen too many times, good lists being

destroyed over discussions of politics and religion. I do not want

that to happen here. Do not get me wrong. this is in no way meant to

offend or hurt anyone. I happen to come from a religious

background. .My daddy is a preacher. So I was raised in church, and I

am a strong believer in God and have lots of faith. I am happy to

share my beliefs with anyone who cares to listen. However I also

repsect anyone who believes differently than I do as well. I pray

everyday and lead a christian life. I will also sign my posts God

bless. However on a list like this, I do not preach or push my

beliefs. There are many religious lists and political lists out

there. This list is an Autism aspergers list and I would like to keep

it that way .If you want to council someone or share religious

beliefs and scriptures, then ask that person's permission to email

them off list to share. Otherwise let us keep this list focused on

Autism - aspergers, sharing, venting, and offering advice help and

support, which is why it was created to begin with. Spam and flaming

will not be tolerated. If there is ever a problem with anyone on the

list, please do not post it to the entire list. You are free to email

me privately and I will work to resolve the issue. I appreciate

everyone's cooperation, and wish you a new year filled with happiness
