Guest guest
I could just scream at the docs and insurance companies. I had tried about a week ago to get ahold of the docs office in regards to the antihistamine change when he put jeremiah on claritin and I know it won't work for him. I never did get ahold of them and they never did return my call. Over the weekend it has been brought to my attention that my oldest son has a toe nail that is detaching and he has half of it cut off now. I tried to call them since 9:30ish this morning and finally gave up after several messages that I had left. I am now trying to get some referrals to a new primary through the insurance. I was, in fact, on hold with the insurance people trying to get the referral and find out what kind of medicaid the kids have when I tried calling the docs again and actually got through. They wanted me to come in at 11:15 on wednesday and I am in class at that time so the next soonest they can get him in is next monday at 1pm. I told her that yeah I would take it since they can't get me in any sooner and it is a good thing he isn't dying. I hate looking for docs again but I want someone that is going to answer their phones and return calls. If anyone in the DFW area has any recomendations then please let me know. On a good note though, he hasn't had the biaxin nor the antihistamine for about 2 weeks and hasn't had much of a runny nose let alone any infections, knock on wood. So if that is a result of the IVIG therapy then great news it is because that means that he has already quit two meds as a result of one infusion.
