Does anyone want to comment on transfer factor if they've taken it?

If I look on immunesupport.com they all seem targetted--is there a

general one?

Hi Jill,

I have FMS. I have used both TF and colostrum myself, and with my clients.

I actually use them differently, for different issues.

I have to say that with my condition, I like the TF. I use many supplements,

and energy technology, and I feel that they help with the aches and sleep

problems, but I feel the TF helps me avoid the sinus problems and other ailments

that are common with this.

In response to your inquiry about TF, I purchaser ours from 4LIFE which you

can pull up on your computer. This past winter I was getting Flu as was the

caregiver for; my wife. A friend told me to take 2 capsules of TF 3 times each

day and it would defeat the flu virus and it did. He also said anyone my age

should keep it on hand just in case flu strikes again. So, I bought 2 bottles

and TF Plus which is many times stronger than just theTF which is to be used

in case the infection has started. TF Plus serves the purpose of an

antibiotic I was told and 200 times more powerful than just the TF. However,

the TF 3

times each day; knocked out the virus in 2 days. Hope this helps.

Thanx Barb--what I was asking is there a general one? They are

targeted to things I don't really believe are issues in my case. My

issues are candida and lyme. I've never had elevated viral stuff, in

fact I test negative on CMV, and normal on EBV etc. And I believe

negative on HHV-6 but that was a long time ago. So I don't really

want to be revving up my immune system for stuff it seems to be

handling.

You are right. It just depends on what results you are looking for. If you

are a body builder, or are interested in anti-aging, then TF is not the way

to go, colostrum is. But if you are purely interested in an immune boost,

TF can be good.

It also depends on what colostrum you use. I recently have gotten quite a

few posts from customers telling me that Immune Trees colostrum (which they

got from me) has really made a difference for them in that they are not

getting colds, etc. And they had tried other brands, New Zealands, etc and

had not gotten the same benefits.

Re: Transfer Factor vs.Colostrum

> Can anybody recommend the TF they use--and is it specific to the

Jill,

Transfer Factor is the so-called " active " ingredient (it's actually referred to

as " transfer factorS " in the literature in colostrum that modulates the immune

function of the body. This means, if the leukocytes and other immune cells are

underactive, the TF will bring them up to speed. If the immune cells are

overactive, the TF will slow them down the way they're supposed to be

functioning.

" Targeted " TF is TF that's specially prepared to operate in a certain system,

organ, or gland of the body. For instance, 4Life -- the company from whom I

purchase my TF -- has TF specially targeted to the brain, to the heart, and

possibly a couple of other systems (the information escapes me at the moment).

The targeted TF operates in a different way than the " regular " TF. It's more

body-specific than general immune-enhancing.

You can read more about it on my website, http://www.livingnow.net/nenahsylver

Anyone is free to purchase the TF products at wholesale cost if they give the

company my ID #. If you want to do the TF as a business as well as purchase the

products, it's worth buying a distributor kit for $30.00.

By the way, when you go onto my website you'll find about 2,000 articles from

Medline alone on TF. Nobody has anything bad to say about it.

I prefer TF to colostrum because I tend to clog up with the colostrum.

I have information about the difference between TF regular and TF plus. Not

everyone should be on the " plus. " Please inquire off-list if you'd like the

summary I wrote.

Best,

Nenah

I posted this once before but here it is again.

Christel

copied and pasted

The TF (plain) is better for autoimmune problems such as

MS, Lupus and allergies to mane a few. The TF+ is better at boosting the

immune system, but be careful because it can precipitate a healing crisis. I

hope that you are on the plus and are taking 9-12/day for an acute

infection. I have found that some get worse and then get better. Sound

Familiar? I have not felt this good in years. My chronic pain, skin rashes.

Sinus problems, and bowel irritability are a thing of the past. I must say

that it took a good 9 months for me to get to this point. Also of note is

that it takes 90 capsules of bovine colostrum to equal 1 TF. Please if you

get a chance check out the studies at my website,

www.antibioticfailure.com/drhagan.htm. I think that this may clear up some

confusion.

Thanx. The immunesupport tf is from chisolm labs and they as I recall

use rabbits...

I may just get 4life, regular tf. I don't like the other stuff

that's in the plus.

Thanx again.
