So.get a bill from the Physicians... I'm telling you that these people in

billing are total dolts. The EOB I received was a denial for the

Physician's charge. They did not put the modifier on it, so it was denied

by our last insurance, then they re-filed it with the wrong insurance and

have supposedly filed it with the correct insurance. Can I tell you that

there is a $525.00 charge (225 for the aspiration and 300 for the biopsy)

that they have JUST filed with insurance on March 24, 2006????? Yes.you

read that correctly-they had their marrow biopsies in May of 2005 and the

Physicians have JUST filed the claim for insurance.AND this is the first

bill I have seen from them for these services. This is on . Have

never seen a bill for ph. I assume it will be coming soon. You

know-say around Jan 2007.

So I call to be sure they have filed with the correct insurance and the lady

tells me they have. (I heard THAT before) who knows if they really have...

We will see. I reminded her that they don't pay out after a certain date.

The lady tells me that our account balance is something COMPLETELY different

than what the invoice in front of my face says. Still have not figured

that one out-- How does that work?????

Well...off to call the insurance and then get read for the Opera-student

night at the opera should be fun.

Elbridge Gerry--signer of the Declaration of Independence, Govenor of

Massachusetts and Vice President of the United States under

Madison....

Ever wonder where the term gerrymandering comes from? While serving as

governor of Massachusetts from 1810 to 1812, Elbridge Gerry helped enact a

law dividing the Bay State into political districts favorable to his own

party. This resulted in some odd shaped districts. One district looked like

a salamander, someone said. Someone else joked that it looked more like a

" gerrymander, " making a play on the governor's name. To this day, the

practice of drawing boundary lines to favor a political party or group is

called gerrymandering.
