Guest guest
He is even going to check his Pneumovax titers without the vaccination > which really left me confused. Actually, that's a good thing to check. The pneumovax vaccine just contains pneumococcal bacteria same as you would get with pneumonia and a lot of bronchitis and stuff like that. He's just testing to see if has build any native protection against those things. So, that part I agree with. Not giving you peace of mind -- I don't agree with!!!!! But, hey, that's life. Some doctors do it well, some haven't got a clue what it's like to parent these kids. It's actually easier to cope with if you think it's a once in a life-time trial off post-puberty rather than he's going to do this to him every 2 years. Still praying for your peace, In His service, dale

I never understood why didn't respond to Prevnar. Pneumovax, I'd understand no or low response if she doesn't make abs to polysacharides. But why doesn't the conjugated vaccine " fool " her system? She responded fine to whatever the antigen was they piggypack it with (tetanus or diphtheria). ?? (mom to , age 7, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs... and also to Kate, age 3!, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!)
