Guest guest
Tonight my son, , said " mama " clearly, several times! Before we started the ProEFA, he had only said it a few times, and not when needed. I started to not answer him until he tried to say it, which produced something like " mymama " . Every day this week I've noticed it getting clearer. Today he said it perfect, and on his own! He also said " M " and pointed to an " M " on a paper. He did this a long time ago, very early, then just stopped. It's been forever since he said it, and I didn't prompt it at all. He also tried to say " stop " , and it came out " top " . Pretty good results for one full week on it! I didn't give it to him today, just to see if it was making him stay awake. I plan on continuing the ProEFA, no matter what, but just need to figure out the right time of day to do it. Maybe at 4am, then by 10pm he will be calm? haha I am sorry to be posting so much. Obviously I do not work, so I have no other adults to talk to.
Guest guest
Hi Paige, I know what you mean about no other adults to talk to. When the gal from our school district's family center comes to visit I talk the poor woman's ears off! That's wonderful news about !! There's one thing about having a child with apraxia-hearing him or her call you is the sweetest sound on earth. I can't wait to get on the efa's (we're waiting for fatty acid profile which should be here today)-she's trying harder than ever right now and I really feel they might just help her brain get the message across to her mouth. Good luck tonight with the sleeping. paigek321 wrote: > Tonight my son, , said " mama " clearly, several times! Before > we started the ProEFA, he had only said it a few times, and not when > needed.
