Is getting sick again. I knew this almost 4 week stint was too good to

last.He got initially sick with asthma and sinus infections in August,

which lasted till november, with two stomach flus in between, sick

again in december, with another sinus infection asthma flare, another

stomach flu, (which totally sucks due to the nissen), sinus infection

and asthma flare in January, doubled his prophylaxis and upped his

treatments again to every 4 hrs, didnt work, ended up on zithro for a

week, finally did bit better. I was so worried he would catch my

husbands influenza, but evidently the tamiflu did the

trick.......however now, even though he is still on his prophylaxis

ceftin, the last 3 days he has had a a little cough, sleeping quite a

lot thru the day(you would have to know the kid, he NEVER naps), and

tonight, has been in my bed coughing all night. I gave him his

inhaler, and it settled down for just a bit, now he is coughing and

sniffling again. I swear, this child is constantly sick from august to

june. and THEN, the allergies get him thru the summer. Its getting to

the point of being ridiculous it seems to me. He is already undersized

and speech impaired from constantly being sick.

If the inf dis dr wants to give IVIG a go for him, I am going to do

it. I have made up my mind. It isnt fair to him to leave him like this

if there is any option. Maybe if we start it now, he will be better

off by the time he is school age(he is 3 now, be four in april).

I guess I am just venting.valarie
