Guest guest
<<phosphatidyl choline in purified form caused me itchiness and chills>> Hi Jill, Can you tell me if you had IV phosphytidyl choline with glutathione or did you take the oral PhosChol? There is an alternative health clinic in New Jersey that just started the Plaquex IV's which is used in addition to chelation and it contains the phosphytidyl choline, inositol and methionine (MIC). I'm interested in finding more information on the Dr. Kane protocol that is having great results with CFS, MS, FMS, Lyme, EBV, etc. (IV phosphytidyl choline with glutathione). If I can find more information about this, I can hopefully convince him to change the IV recipe. Thanks for any info you can provide. Guest guest
Hi Dotsie, what is the name of the clinic in NJ and what is plaquex? (sp?) I only tried the oral form. First I tried the form Kane recommends, which I got from American Lecithin company, but it had benzyl alcohol and some other stuff in it and I didn't like it at all. THen I got Designs for Health PC powder, but I think I had some kind of allergic reaction to it--itchy and chills. Took me a few days to make the connection. Besides, oral is apparently only mildly helpful. Some *are* having good response to Kane. THe problem is the way they're trying to rake in $. They charge a lot, from what I understand from others who have gone or consulted. That always bothers me, I'm not saying the work is not good, it is probably very good, but it bothers me when doctors in that arena prey on the desperate by charging maximium amounts for services and products. Guest guest
<<what is the name of the clinic in NJ and what is plaquex?>> Hi Jill, Plaquex is an injectable form of Phosphtidyl choline given intravenously for cardiovascular disease. http://www.plaquex.ch/ The name of the clinic is Abunda Life in Asbury Park, NJ. The price for the IV is $145 and chelation is $115. I agree with you about the price they are charging for some of these treatments. My sister is now bankrupt after her husband died from ALS because they tried everything they could for over a year including Dr. Perlmutter, stem cell, etc. That's why I'm trying to find out what she (Dr. Kane) has in the IV so I can duplicate it. Thanks for sharing your information. Dotsie
Guest guest
Esentiale is the product in Germany and I believe costs $55 for 5 ampules. Charging $145 for each treatment is making a lot of $ on it. Makes me mad.

Guest guest
<<Charging $145 for each treatment is making a lot of $ on it.>> Hi Jill, It sounds expensive but when you think about everything that goes into making it, I think it's a fair price. The plaquex which is $145 contains phosphytidyl choline, inositol and methionine....the IV bag and other accessories/ingredients plus the time involved by the MD injecting it and babysitting the patient for over 2 hours. If this was a treatment that was needed for a long period of time then I wouldn't consider it but for a few treatments, it won't break the bank. Thanks, Dotsie
Guest guest
Hi Dotsie, I don't know about plaquex but it takes only a few minutes to infuse the PC...and as I have authored books for holistic docs, I know what the actual costs are of supplies for things like IV materials, vitamins, minerals, and even know of a significantly cheaper source I heard of for PC...so, I'm sorry, I disagree on the prices docs charge for this kind of thing. I think its unfair to chronically ill patients who have to pay out of pocket and are at their wit's end. Anyway, I'm all for self-help treatments, and home treatments. That's why I like hyeprbaric, ozone sauna etc, you can do it at home, you can push yourself or back off, and you don't have to pay, pay, pay. Buying rather than renting....
