Guest guest
NO, we havent run the pnuemo vac titers yet, reason being my kids have never had(that I remember) a pnuemo shot. I KNOW I KNOW. Brennan had the prevnar when he was little. Anyway, we may do the shot now, and then check the titers, I dont know, b/c I didnt actually speak with our dr, only a fellow that peaked at the kids a minute, and that was because I called and begged for somenoe to tell me results!!LOL. She was very cautious in what she said regarding treatment. I feel its obvious that Brennan and Savannah are in the worst shape, going by not only their labs but the amounts of infections and the LENGTH of infections and their asthma being so tough to control. I did jump the gun and ask if we should re-vac donovan for the measles. She very patiently said........like I said, I cannot give you any treatment plans yet, maam, I have to go over it with the dr and he will call you back. We will make another appt. Olivia really has no symptoms at this time of immune def, other than the failed hep b response......she really only went b/c the other 3 were going, just to check. They kind of think maybe the lab that did the hep b did it wrong.......and given the airheads who work there and cant EVER get my insurance or dr straight, that may be true. This new bloodwork was done right at the hospital. Keep in mind, we have only had one appt with this guy, and he is looking at four kids who are all very different. Its going to take a while to plan strategy. I feel better to at least have some results. the flu shot.........all the kids have been getting one since asthma dx. HOWEVER, savannah, who is allergic to eggs, did get one this yr, and had a horrendous reaction. I doubt we will do it again. valarie
