Guest guest
Oh Art. How cynical. Just because someone sells a product that works does not mean their sole purpose for sharing is money. do you think that Saul is only interested in making a buck and that all his posts are purely monetarily motivated. Probably 98% of the health informaton on the net is by people that are selling stuff. And most of them are people who are selling what worked for them and are eager to tell others what worked for them. I am thankful for these people as I have learned, in a few years, what would likely have taken me a life time otherwise. For years before I was a 'retailer' I told people on a daily basis about things that I was learning and benfitting from. Somewhere along the line, after years of sending them to the local heath food store, I thought to myself that I should be selling them the product myself. And so I started carrying things that worked for me. I have been doing it every since. But my motivation back then, before I ever sold anything, was the same as it is now. To help people. And I know Sharon and I know her heart is similar. Sorry if it seems like just a sales pitch to you. On the lists I moderate I welcome sales pitches because I don't want someone lurking with great information, afraid to share it because someone will call them a spammer. I only require that they share personal information and don't just say heres a link buy this. And I also would rather give a list member my money than to send it elsewhere, so I always want to know who is carrying what. That's just my take on it. Guest guest
Cynical? I doubt it, at least I didn't take it that way. Totally agree that true motivation is for the most part not able to be determined. I also agree with the marketing " feel " ... primarily because of the acute lack of solidly based claims. Professional marketing relies on scientifically/academically based support. When science or academia is in error, our community tends to lash out rather than properly addressing and proving what we know or believe to be true. We really are our own worst enemy! And there are a lot of hucksters out there (not necessarily on this list .... or maybe so)!! Regards/, in Bangkok " For evil to succeed, the good only have to do nothing.
