Baygam has been renamed gamastan. It is suprising to me how many

people are able to get it though as it is the most expensive product

out there and many companies cannot afford to carry it.

I hadn't realized that Baygam had been renamed, but this is the one that

Nettie uses. Our statements say that is about $175 weekly. That is SO MUCH

cheaper than the Polygam she was getting IVIG at the hospital! Our homecare

company only uses Baygam, but a few months ago there was a shortage and we had

to use Gammguard x 4 months. It was much higher volume so we split the

infusion into two different days. They just gave us two syringes (split the

total

dose evenly) and we did it Wednesdays and Fridays. Smaller volume, smaller

bumps, less discomfort and faster infusion. Since it was so good, we are

still doing it that way with the Baygam.

In my thoughts and prayers,

Mommy to:

Annette 15 yo, selective antibody deficiency, cp, devlopmental delays,

g-tube, hiv+, IVIG x 5 years, Sub Q x 1 year.

10 yo, previous B and T cell deficiencies, IVIG x 1 year (off now

over 2 years), daily prophylaxis, brain tumor survivor, hearing impaired,

seizure disorder, learning disabled, and one heck of a " WWF wrestler " !

Trayvon 7 yo, Ivemark Syndrome, severe congenital heart defects, asplenia,

malrotated intestines, microcephalic, migraines and going to Disney really

soon!

Marriela 3 yo, Micro premie (26 weeker, 1 lb, 12oz), NICU x 4 months, severe

asthma, devlopmental delays, mild cp, reflux, and gives us a serious run for

our money every single day! and last but not least,

Cody (3 months) bad reflux, but otherwise happy and healthy.

God has a serious sense of humor now doesn't he! LOLOLOLOL
