Guest guest
Thanks to all of you who responded with feedback on the preschool for PID children. I have many ideas and thoughts to mull over now. After reading your comments, I think it is pretty clear to me that Cole will probably NOT attend a preschool here. We just don't have a facility where it is offered without the daycare setting. I am blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mom to my boys. I encourage learning and try to expose my boys to various events. Currently I am taking Cole and his younger brother to the local library weekly for " toddler time " where he gets a chance to interact socially and learn to follow other adults instructions. I would like to get him involved in church, but I found that when we would go on Sunday, it never failed, he was sick by Tuesday or Wednesday. It is bad enough that the 4 year old brings home various illnesses from preschool, I just don't want to add to the mix. I fear that I am turning into a germ-aphobe!!! (My husband teasing me that I am.) I cringe in the grocery store when I think about the carts (which I religously wipe down), and walk by a child coughing in our direction or looking rather pale and listless. AH, what a life with the PIDer! But, I wouldn't trade my son for the world. I just can't say thanks enough for your responses to my questions!! -Rogena ( Mom to Cole, SIgA, subclass IgG def, & 3 other strapping boys)
