2o yr. old with AS and substance abuse

Hello,

I have a 20 yr.old son who is AS and is also using pot and alcohol

whenever he can. He has, in the past, struggled with multi-substance

abuse. We are thinking of sending him to a facility in NY which

treats the addiction and the AS. He is not functioning well at home

and we just don't know what to do. He keeps pleading with us not to

do that. We would have to have someone come to take him there, like

interventionists, and he begs us not to do that. My heart is heavy.

Any opinions?
