Guest guest
Hope will be graduating from ABA at the end of this month, her doctor says she has never seen anyone progress this fast - from non verbal to talking and describing things in one year! We had our IPP yesterday, and they are 100% on board, and will provide additional speech/language therapy and a social skills group and camp during the summer. With our income we only have a copay of 5% - also we will have 16 hours of respite per month.I am feeling so beyond blessed! Hope continues to do very well at school, sometimes her aide is sick and that throws her - it is hard for her to fully attend to someone she doesn't know - eye contact is difficult. She is making consistent eye contact with the people that she knows well, and doesn't need any RSP services at school other than speech/OT and her aide. DH is retiring on the 28th, and while he still hasn't found a job, he is interviewing at the port of long beach this morning, NASSCO is showing a lot of interest and he has an interview at the port of san diego on the first. Things seem to be turning in our direction - Jarrod and I are getting along better than we have in over 7 years. We have been on the verge of a divorce for the past two years - and we got into it about a month ago, and I think that he finally gets it - he has said all along that I talk to him like a kid - and I explained to him, that I do not talk to anyone differently, be it baby, child or adult. When I get frustrated I talk slower and try not to use 20 dollar words -you know? ______________________________________________________________ If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
