Guest guest
RE: Fw: benefit run >>>Maybe they mean people to help with handing out water and >>>snacks? " >>LOL! I don't know. I could probably make it from my car to the start line. I guess this guy's Stills has not disabled him yet, and he has the will to keep going. Doesn't he know exertion can make Stills worse? He was excellent physical condition when he got sick, and has probably a year or so before he will no longer be able to run much if at all, if he does not remiss. Hopefully, he will remiss and keep on running. The prednisone is likely allowing him to keep going for now. I fought it hard my first year or so too, until I could barely walk due to inflammation and severe systemic edema. Does anyone else here run marathons?? -Brent I haven't run a marathon but I have walked one. I was part of a Joints in Motion Team with the Arthritis Foundation and went to Ireland for the Dublin Marathon in 1999. It took me 8 hours to walk the 26.2 miles but I did it. And I really believe that the training for it put me into remission that year. My first and only remission. It wasn't easy but you have to start out slow and build your endurance over a few months. My remission lasted for about 6 weeks after the marathon but I had a great year until then. My doctor was one of my biggest supporters. He always asks if I'm going to do it again.
