My daughter who took clonodine for the 2nd time yesterday, still had

problems falling asleep. In addition, she woke up at 2:00 and could not

fall back asleep. She was hearing things and saying that she felt like

something was crawling on her. So, I went and slept in her room (I

finally broke her of that a couple of months ago and am now resorting

back to it). I am trying really hard not to go back to medications and

just working with vitamin supplements. She saw an alternative medicine

doctor on Friday. He started her on some vitamins but is waiting on her

urine results (looking for serotonin levels, etc.) to “fine-tune” the

vitamins. Her psychiatrist is out of town, and the “fill-in” has

suggested trazodone. I just looked it up on the internet and it scares

me. I am so desparate! These decisions are so tough to make concerning

our children. Help! Any thoughts on trazodone?!
