Guest guest
Dear Wayne, The work part is optional, actually. The body creates Vitamin D from sunlight. Vitamin D allows calcium to be absorbed from food. Bones are built out of calcium. Therefore, sunlight cures back problems. Best of health! Date: Mon, 29 Mar 2004 20:10:27 -0600 Evening Gail, Of course I can't answer your question. I simply wanted to say, " hello " and give you something to think about. I have a friend in his 40's. He had some back problems for several months. Finally, some doctor said he had a staph infection in the vertebra. So ....... he is getting IV antibiotics at home. His wife is a nurse and trained to do this. Is this a misapplication of antibiotics or a misdiagnosis? Based on my personal observations of a number of friends, I still think that most back problems are caused, either directly or indirectly due to a sunlight deficiency. Not a single one who has back problems ever work in the sunlight with the shirt off. Wayne ---------- --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Morning Dr. Saul, >The work part is optional, actually. Yes, I know, but it is the best excuse to get out into the sunlight. Any work in the sunlight has several benefits. The work I do is not as hard as ditch digging or lumberjack work. It provides some home grown produce which has health benefits. Sort of like cutting firewood, it warms you twice. As we get older, exercise and work take on a different value. Light work to a 65 or 70 year old might not offer much benefit to a 25 or 30 year old healthy athlete. This same activity may buy a few more years of healthy and ability for the older person. I seriously believe, that if I don't continue to do this, I will wake up one day and may not even be able to get out of bed, much less, do a good days work in the sunlight. I consider it to be " Investing in Tomorrow " . Plus, I seem to enjoy it. Maybe I have brainwashed myself. Wayne
Guest guest
How much daily sunlight is optimal? My daughter's endocrinologist once told me that 5 minutes on an arm a day was going to do it for her necessary vitamin D. It sounded absurd to me. J. J. , You might be interested in the following from The Handbook of Rife Frequency Healing: ***beginning of quote*** Recent research suggests that at locations far enough away from the equator, the oblique angle of the sun does not generate sufficient Vitamin D-producing UV-B rays to help us produce the vitamin. " The current suggested exposure of hands, face and arms for 10 to 20 minutes, three times a week, provides only 200-400 IU (International Units) of Vitamin D each time.during summer months, " writes Krispin Sullivan in " The Miracle of Vitamin D " appearing in the Fall 2000 issue of Wise Traditions. Although this amount will help prevent rickets in children, we require 4,000 IU every day to ensure the health of all vital functions. " What the research on Vitamin D tells us is that unless you are a farmer, lifeguard or a regular sunbather, you are highly unlikely to obtain adequate amounts of Vitamin D from the sun. The balance must be obtained from food. " [sullivan, Krispin. " The Miracle of Vitamin D " in Wise Traditions: in Food, Farming and the Healing Arts, Volume 1, Number 3, Fall 2000, pp. 12-13] ***end of quote*** Be well, Nenah Nenah Sylver, PhD *Information, products, and services related to healing* ============================================== THE HOLISTIC HANDBOOK OF SAUNA THERAPY is now available.
