Hi

I agree about the long term part. My mother had been doing the slurry a

couple of summers ago and thought the instructions she was given was to

take it it for 3 weeks, but was starting to feel very spaced out and was

totally in a fog. She was not herself. She finally read the

instructions over again and it was to take for three days. As soon as

she stopped with in a few days she seemed to be back to her old self and

realized that it definately must have been stripping her of her

nutrition. I'm not sure what else it could have been.

Could have been a healing reactions as my husband when he was detoxifying all

the crud out of his system got that

same way until he got the stuff that was broken up out of his system and then he

went back to normal and clear thinking

again. He had lung cancer, bone cancer, adrenal cancer and spinal disease at

age 38.

I have chronic dehydration and charcoal is hard to tolerate because it

affects that. My digestive tract lining was less happy after taking

charcoal. Perhaps it was an irritant. J.

Re: Rashes, Candida and Charcoal

Thanx for that reminder, Colin. That may help me with the ozone

reaction, which is in part from candida die-off I am sure. Now that

I haven't done it since Friday night, the candida symptoms returned

(not helped by eating some delicious blackberries and brie)...but

that's okay...I'm going to do a liver flush before resuming anyway

later this week, but I think activated charcoal is a good idea.

Of courrse, doing it longterm, it's going to adsorb some of your

vitamins and minerals, so I don't think large amounts every day

longterm are totally safe.

OxyPLUS is an unmoderated e-ring dealing with oxidative therapies, and

other alternative self-help subjects.

Hi ,

Some health practitioners who advocate charcoal suggest mixing it with soaked

or ground flax seeds or psyllium or bentonite.

I think that might go a long way to relieving any irritancy, as well as any

constipation caused by the dehydration effect.

I'd highly recommend reading Kaufman's full article at the site I posted prior

to using charcoal.

best,

Colin

Sounds like a good idea to be combined with something to ease any side

effects--reminds me of the herbal combination theories whereby things are

combined for synergistic effects, etc. Thanks-- J.
