Guest guest
Valarie - You said that your daughter tested negative for ANA (as did mine). But, if antibody production is a problem, the results are not so meaningful and the reasons for the " flare " (I am sure your child has flair as well = ) ) are not so obvious. I believe that IgG can modulate the immune system and improve management of certain inflammatory or autoimmune conditions. Of course, there are so many other things that it could be... Guest guest
They are muscle cramps? My mom gets terrible cramping and the things she's supposed to try are bananas, potatoes, things with potassium and calcium -- could there be any type of nutritional deficiency? I used to get what they call Restless Leg Syndrome, it's awful, legs feel crawly and you can't hold them still and you scream... it's definitely not pain, though. Just another thought -- (mom to , age 7, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs... and also to Kate, age 3!, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!) Guest guest
" I dont know if its actual cramping or pain, or if she even knows the right words for it. WE have tried, at the drs suggestions, extra bananas, salt, and water. " Valarie - Just wondering why the doc is focusing on food? Is the doc suspecting an allergy or gut problem or throwing you a bone? How is her pooping? Days per week? Texture? Smell? Many PID pumpkins have gut issues, that when not addressed, can cause havoc all over the body. (mom to CVIDer)

Guest guest
yes, someone answered for me.........the thoughts were that maybe a lack of potassium, salt, or being dehydrated. That was the family dr.....the chiropracter said the exact same thing!!!But those arent it. And she does have food allergies, to milk and egg that I know of. I dont see any of her leg pains related to food. Valarie

Well, I felt horrible and called my Pharmacist who sent me to the ER. Apparently, you can have heart problems (serious ones) when you OD on this stuff! They hooked me up to a cardiac monitor for 8 hours and would not let me go. Of course, Bri was just glad it wasn't him Sandi, Mom to --age 13--CVID

Guest guest
Hey, my daughter 13yo has had severe leg cramps and neck pains after an asthma attack several times. Not sure what causes them.
