Guest guest Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 Plasma is much the same guidelines as blood. You have to be a certain weight and follow certain rules. I have been denied for the day because of my iron level on several occassions. How much they take depends on how much you weigh. I know that you don't loose any whole red blood cells when donating plasma which is how you can donate up to twice a week whereas giving blood can only be done every eight weeks.
