Hi

and how is it used?

Thanks

Donna,

Lugol's can be applied topically to the skin. When it disappears, it's time to

re-apply. Personally, I take colloidal iodine which is not toxic in any amouont

(you can find info about it on my website).

Plain old ascorbic acid (NOT the buffered kind) will help to acidify the urine

and discourage the proliferation of microbes.

Hi Donna,

I *was* getting UTIs fairly frequently for awhile. My use of Lugol's was

very helpful, really knocks them out (and many other infections as

well). I followed protocols I put together from Dr ,

Hulda , and had confirmation from another source that I do not

recall.

*6* drops of Lugol's in water, 4x a day.

I used this for about 4 days and felt better in many ways than I had for

awhile. Signs of the UTI were gone in less than 48 hours.

I now use plain Mannose at the first sign of recurrence, very

successfully, only because I'm afraid of overdosing on iodine.

If I get indications of infection ANYwhere, I go back on Lugol's. I'm

still wary of the high dose, so I do use less than my first time with

it.

If I don't catch a UTI in time, I'll put some Mannose in water, add the

Lugol's, and being a " mad scientist " I'll throw in some drops of herbal

combos for the kidney/bladder.

Works every time.

Lugol's is wonderful!

This is excellent info Sharon. My dad says he feels better on just two

drops a day than he has felt in awhile and after only two doses of two

drops he says his urine is burning less and almost not. So I am very

happy. I do try to keep d-mannose stocked but it is pricey compared to

the iodine. So I think your method is a good one and will reduce the

use of the d-mannose.

Thanks Sharon, this is what I was needing.

Hi Nenah. Thanks for this info. I do plan to get the cayce iodine but

for now all I have is the lugols and I am planning on only using it for

a few days, not long term.

Hi . From what I understand it does help uti's because it kills

bacteria and uti " s are bacterial infections. But I also understand it

should be used judiciously, for only a few days. And if a person has

hashimoto's disease they should not use it. And if a person wants to

take it longer term they would want to be monitored through blood tests.

It is more often used topically. Nenah has a website where you can read

more about iodine.
