Hi Brain,

Oh, how nice to hear you've finally got some answers as to what your

problem is. It can never be stressed enough that first comes

safety! You know most of us have been somewhat burned at some time

by allopathy doctors, and what we certainly don't want to to is be

unsafe when it comes to alternative. Detoxing can be serious stuff

from what my understanding is of it.

I wanted to also comment a little on the ozonated water. Again, I

know the recommended amount is to drink between 6 to 8 glasses a day,

and I've tried it several times, but it always ends up making me so

tired and also somewhat depressed. Yet one glass will go a long way

in making me feel more energetic and productive, while more works

just the opposite! I got to thinking about one of the previous

poster's comment about people with cfids having impaired

detoxification pathways. Some things that seem to work quite well

for others just don't seem to cut it with me for what ever reason.

Maybe the impaired pathways are one of those reasons.

I've never tried to remove any mercury. But then maybe that is one of

the reasons for my illness. However, I don't know what I'm doing and

it always kind of scared me. Yet, I have a mouth full of fillings.

I figured sometimes it's safer not to stir things up, and I remember

Saul commenting about his wife never having hers removed and the

ozone still worked on her, so that's my plan. So far the ozone

saunas are givng me a really nice rash, yet they also give me added

energy. Other than the rash, I haven't had any negative experiences

with them.

Again, so glad to hear you've figured out some stuff for your own

personal body. Always strive to be wise when pursuring, really

anything, but especially health.

Hello ,

I've lost track of much of the dialog up until this point,

but reading this post, I see you are using DMSA ALSO, in

addition to ozone. So I will comment on some things here (below).

I have been reading and writing about mercury detox IN GREAT

DETAIL, for about 4 years.

DMSA is STRESSFUL to the liver. How much were you taking and

on what schedule? This could be a problem. It is at least

not a good idea. Some people run liver tests occassionally

while using DMSA because it is stressful to the liver.

Also, use of milk thistle (a liver support herb) should be

recommended to ANYONE using DMSA. Both because the DMSA

is liver stressful and metal detox is ALSO liver stressful!

With " very low " liver function I would NOT recommend the use

of DMSA ***at all***, in any amount..... This is scary!

Now, so far I just talked about the liver connection.

Let me also comment on the comment " DMSA doses for mercury

were making me sicker and sicker " .

Since I don't know what amount of DMSA or dose schedule you

were using, it is hard to comment on your situation.

Many many people use DMSA " not frequently enough " and this

often leads to ***WORSE*** mercury poisoning. I would be

happy to expound on this more, if you wish. It would be

helpful to know more about the dose amount and dose schedule

you are using first.

So, in summary, either mercury redistribution from DMSA (from

poor dosing schedule) OR liver stress from DMSA, or both, MIGHT

have been causes for you to feel horrible.

You also MIGHT feel horrible simply because of using high doses

of DMSA.

If I were you I would NOT do a liver cleanse. I would

use more gentle means, and would use GREAT caution.

Certainly I would use milk thistle tincture several times

a day. If possible, I would get regular acupunture treatments.

I would NOT do a liver cleanse. I might do some smaller

aspects FROM a liver cleanse, one at a time, slowly, in

small amounts.

FWIW sweating will also mobilize some mercury. People use it

as a detox method. Mercury detox is stressful to the liver.

So is being mercury toxic, of course!

I am not Saul, of course. I also am not following why what it

is that you want out of your system. In any case, either

oral epsom salts, or high doses of vitamin C, will cause

diarrhea. So will homozon.

I read every post.

The liver cleanse with its Epsom salts will clean you out.

There is also an enema recommended with it, that helps

prevent headache.

(I just realized why I had the headache on Saturday during

my liver cleanse. I had to skip the enema because I couldn't find

the hose attachment...)

If you suspect mercury is giving you trouble, then just concentrate

on doing the liver cleanses for now, until your condition stabilizes a bit.

Do some research on alpha lipoic acid for mercury removal. It is a strict

protocol, but many people have had good success following it.

Another option is celantro/coriander, which slowly pulls mercury from the

body.

Saul,

When I do Hulda's cleanse, no problems, no ornithine caps or anything. I

did three, the first a million small bb's, the second, some chaff and third

nothing. So I recommend it to a female friend who has been on thyroid meds

since 7yrs. old. She does the 2 Epsom salt drinks, does the OO and

Grapefruit, lays down and 3hrs. later " tosses it " into the porcelain alter,

somehow I convince her to finish the protocol and she gets a handful of

small stones. Do you think the next time will be better? Is there

something she can take to keep from " tossing her cookies " . Is that what the

ornithine is for?

Dear Ron,

Yes, I believe that Dr. recommended the ornithine to avoid nausea.

I don't have the book in front of me, but I seem to remember that.

I have always skipped the ornithine, and haven't missed it. I don't have

nausea

when doing the liver cleanse, just a headache.
