Guest guest
well, the crankiness never lies, Savannah is now offically coughing with a low peak flow. this is so frustrating. I wouldnt worry so much if she didnt have the PID problem, plus she cant take prednisone anymore, so once her asthma gets going, there is no stopping it, and generally ends up with SAPS in the low 30% or lower. So we JUST got the lung percussion thing in January and I only used it at the hospital while she was admitted and while they taught me. I am not totally sure if I am supposed to just start using it, or wait until she is full of mucous in her lungs to do it. I am sick to death of these kinds of decisions. And, Pattie, was it, who asked why people still come to church sick? I can tell you. They think it makes them extra holy. I know this b/c I have been told by several very extra holy people, they have never missed a sunday, not even when they had pnuemonia, etc. Its something to be proud of, dont you know that? As for us, I beleive we will be attending Bedside Baptist tomorrow morning. I dont know what we have, but I sure as heck dont want anything else. Dale, thanks for the further explanations. I get it!!thanks. I will do that........ I know what you mean. Nothing seems so important until your kid cant have it, then its a MUST. My kids have never believed in the Easter Bunny, they know its us that sets out the baskets, but I want that darn bunny!! I think though, they will be happy with the home made ones. Something different, anyhow. After EAster, they would probably like to make them with me. Yesterday, the kdg thru 3rd grade got a surprise of Cupcakes and a visit from the Cat in the Hat--- I had no idea this was happening and they are usually so good about telling me about it and making allowances for savannah, apparantly some well intentioned staff brought the cupcakes for the kids, and after 1 hr speech therapy, 2 drs appts for the boys, and suddenly in the middle of that remembering I was supposed to pick up my great niece from school at 1120, I raced back to the school, only to rush past the small office door and spy those cupcakes.........I stopped and asked which grades they were for and WAS I ever irritated and told the vice prinicipal so. They were rummaging around in their own desks trying to suddenly come up with a treat for savannah, well, with an appt with my accountant at 1200, I flew over the the gas station and found some oreos and junior mints she could have and FLEW back to the school and dumped them in the staff members lap, hollered savannahs name and room number at her and FLEW back into the car and onto the expressway(again!). Its just things like that, I know she is still getting a treat, but I want her to have similar treats to the other kids, even for bake sales, I stay up all night baking new treats she hasnt seen, sneak them to school with a little dairy free sign, all so my kid can take MY quarter and buy back what I just spent all night baking. makes no sense, I know. But I cant seem to stop myself. On the lines of dairy free, Brennan was a major lover of mac and cheese. I have waited a long while to re-introduce " fake " cheese so he might forget what the real thing was like, and he LOVES it. So I found the type of non dairy cheese that is like velveeta, the kind you can melt and make a sort of mac and cheese with, but I am not sure how to go about that. Would you add rice milk to that and then stir it into the noodles? Anyone tried this before? I have to admit, I have never made the real stuff, just the pasta and powder cheese and I dont know how to do it this way. Thanks for all the support andinfo today. It really does help. Back to nebbing away!!valarie
