Thank you for responding. My son just started on Paxil a couple of

weeks ago, but I have seen the anger since he was about two. He just

responds so much more violently than I would expect a " normal " child

to. Even very little he talked about wanting to kill me. He gets

more angry than " normal " when he is told no. I am beginning to

understand that his thoughts and worries keep him at a high level of

anxiety all the time, so he snaps easily. I just don't know how to

handle it. The OCD is a new diagnosis and I don't know how it fits. I

am reading everyone's emails, but I don't know what all the

abbreviations stand for. What is DD? What is PANDAS? So many things

to learn! Initially the couselor diagnosed a mood disorder, or anx

DD is dear daughter -PANDAS is Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric

Disorder Associated with Strep - basically it's thought the strep virus

triggered the OCD and may still -so some use antibiotics and check

blood numbers to control flare-ups - doesn't really matter in

treatment they both need to tbe treated but you need to know if/when

they have strep or may be exposed to keep a more watchful eye - my dd

never had strep that I'm aware of - though some I hear have no

symptoms?? but has high numbers so was exposed at some point and has

flare-ups with colds -lack of sleep etc because how can they fight if

they don't feel good strep or not - so I'm still confused myself
