I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. My name is ,

I've been married for 11 yrs in Nov. My husband and I were married

for about 3 yrs. before we started to try to have children. It took

us almost 7 yrs. before our first son Zachary (Z) was born and then

about 2 yrs, later our second son Elijah (Eli) was born. Shortly

after Z was 2 I took him to see a couple of specialist because I

feared that he might have autism at that time. I was told that the

only thing that was wrong with him was that he had a speech delay

and

so we started speech classes. I could also see that he was

developmentally behind the other children his age. We put him in our

church preschool program when he was 2 and at the end of the school

yr. we all agreed that it would be best if he was th stay in that

class for the next yr. also because he was so far behind. By the

middle of that yr. we could see that something was wrong and it

wasn't

just a speech delay. I started calling different docs. to see if we

could get him diagnosed. Finally after about 9 mons., in July of

this

yr., we were told that Z had aspergers. Starting on Mon. Oct.30 we

start seeing a psychologist and hopefully things might become a

little

easier for us. What worries me is that Eli is picking up Z's

behavior

and I'm not sure if it is just a little brother acting like his big

brother or if it is something I should really be worried about. I

know

it is probably both. I pray everyday and ask God for wisdon and

patience. Okay enough about me and mine, I just wanted to thank you

all for allowing me to join your group and reading a little about me.
