Guest guest
Dear Gail, The course is not a legal defense. You might want to consider getting insurance. The course is not available at all, unless you purchase an ozone sauna setup. Best of Health! I think anybody that has a sauna should know this. Gail Gail, To answer your question in more detail: For my 360-page book on sauna therapy, I interviewed quite a number of doctors who regularly use the sauna in their practice. The list of people who blanketly should not use the sauna at all is surprisingly small. That said, there are a number of caveats that I will not outline here because the information can be lengthy and involved. Some people can use certain TYPES of saunas rather than other types. Some people can use the sauna during part of their healing process but not at another point in time. And some people with certain serious medical conditions may use the sauna safely if they're under medical supervision. So you see, it all depends. After doing my research over the course of 4 years, I saw that there's no " cut-and-dried, " easy or facile answer to your question. The real question perhaps should be, " Can the PERSON safely use the sauna? " , because everyone's different. The same disease diagnosed for one person may look and manifest totally different in another. Not to toot my own horn too much, but I hope Saul gets to review my book soon and post it to this list -- because the book really is very complete and I think people will find that their questions will be answered if they only read the book. My website is not working properly at the moment. As soon as I am able, I'll post some reviews of the book and a bit more info so people can see what's in the book -- although the content and the table of contents are already on the site now. You might be interested to know that Dr. T.R. Shantha in Georgia, who uses the sauna a lot in his practice, has seen the book and loves it. So does Dr. Dave Root, whose landmark studies on the substances found in sweat and time-tested use of the sauna for toxified individuals have been published in many professional journals and elsewhere. I just spoke to Dave yesterday. He told me that a few clinics in addition to the one in Sacramento and the one in New York City will be built, to help people detoxify from " recreational " drugs as well as the 9-11 fiasco in New York City (many people, especially rescue workers and firefighters, are still very ill from the chemicals released at that time). He told me that he will make my book " mandatory reading " for the staff at all the clinics.
