Anyone else's child obsessed with claw machines?? You know the ones

with the toys in them that can never seem to be won..... My son will

spend every penny of his money when he comes across a claw machine....

He wins often but not always..... I have tried to make him realise

that they are there to take his money but he just doesnt seem to get

it......

OMG yes!

My son is obsessed with claw machines too! We try to steer away from them because we never win, and he just doesn't understand it costs money!

We bought a miniature one on eBay, it works with pennies, and also doubles as a piggy bank. We put candy and plastic jacks in there, he loves it! Think I paid about $20 for it.

My son was, it was very sad. We went to a theme park, he was about6, now he's 14, and if you threw a ring on the bottle, you got a scooter. He spent his entire $20, I couldn't stop it, and he was devastated!! He STILL is the same way!

I know how it goes..... They have a claw machine at our local KMART. Everytime we go I either leave him at home or tell him he can take and spend only 3 of his dollars on the claw machine. . He hesitatingly agrees. There was an episode of Spongebob about this very subject which was completely hilarious. Apparently Mr. Krabs puts a Claw Machine in The Krusty Krab which Squidward becomes obsessed with. Of course he never wins but nevertheless spends his entire paycheck on it. All the while Mr. Krabs counts his piles of money in his office. My son Warren found this episode absolutely hysterical. But I think it gave him a better understanding. Although he still goes crazy when he sees them.LOL.... in Lancaster, Ca Bernstein <m_bernstein@...> wrote: My son was, it was very sad.
