Guest guest
Hi Tee- My name is Keri. Ask your Doc about a Durgensic Patch or Oxycodone, those work for my pain. I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. I think we all feel your pain and understand what you are going through. Don't give up on finding the right cocktail for you. Keep asking your Docs to try something else if your current drugs aren't working. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take Care. Love & Support, Keri
Guest guest
Hi Carmen , I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your post. Looong week But mostly a good one! I got approved by Social Security! Well at least I think I have lol. They sent me a check but I have not received an official letter saying I am approved. But who cares, I got the check lol! Too bad it's all going to that huge pile of pink and yellow late notices that have been collecting dust for the past 7 months . Oh btw, I turned out to be a very good " Enbrel poker " I did it in less than 5 minutes! I am sooo proud of me because I am usually such a chicken lol. I think it was my pride. My doctor kept saying she was sure I would not have a problem doing it because I have piercings and tattoos. Well, I sure could not wuss out after that vote of confidence lol. To anwser some of your questions.....I did'nt have a problem with mixing the solution, but I did have problem getting that air out. I think I pushed too much of the solution out of the needle trying to get the air out. Not too much though. My age is 29 and I live in Philadelphia. As far as the corelation between race and Still's, I was curious about this too. I think I read somewhere that this is not a rare disease in Japan? It was a while ago, I have to look it up again. If that is true, I wonder why? I was diagnosed pretty quickly at the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital, by a mixture of Rheumies, Infectious disease docs and many other docs who were curious about my " strange " symptoms. Luckily I don't have to pay for anything because I am a Veteran with low income because I had to stop working. I have read on AOL about people who are in serious pain because they cannot afford the more expensive drugs that work. Something has GOT to be done about that! You know, I really don't think people who don't have arthritis really understand the significant amount of pain we go through. I have to admit, before I got it, I thought arthritis was just some " minor " aching in the joints and muscles that you could just take some tylenol for. Boy do I know now how WRONG I was! The public AND doctors need to be educated on the seriousness of this. Oh, your last question...I found this group through a google search. Here's wishing everyone a pain-free weekend.
