Thirty-two laps?????????????????? You have to be a VERY young lady. I used

to do ten and thought I was hot stuff.

I hope you keep feeling better and better. What a nice Christmas present to

yourself.

I am soooooo happy for you. Spend that energy on doing something more fun

than raking leaves!!! I've made a list of things I want to do when I am healed

and raking leaves is NOT on the list.:)

I can't even remember being 35.... :o)

I'm a grandmother !!!!! You're a baby compared to me. But, I do rake

leaves even though I pay for it the next day. I love yard work and wish I

could do more.

Congrats on the approval of SSDI. Do you have to have been working to

receive this? If I wanted to apply for a job and couldn't because of this

illness, would that count?

Happy Holidays to you and yours and I truly am happy for you on your

win!!!!!!!

Hey ,

If one is 25 they are old..however if one is 35, 25 is young.

So if you are 35 that is old..but if you are 45, then 35 is young.

If you are 13, anyone over 19 is " old. " etc.

Love you kiddo,

Carmen,

To the best of my recollection, you have to have worked a certain number of

years out of the last 10 (for example, you may have had to have worked 5 out

of the last 10 years) in order to qualify for SSDI and you have to have paid

money into social security at some point. I don't remember the exact amount

of years you need, but maybe someone else out there does! Else, I'll try and

look it up later.

You could also call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 and ask them if you

qualify. They can send you a copy of your earnings record. It will show how

much social security and medicare earnings you had taxed in your lifetime.

It also shows your estimated benefits if you applied for SSDI and were

approved.

As for your other question about if you can't apply for a job because of your

illness: Social Security looks at your skills and determines if you could do

anything with them -- a different job then you have done before using your

skills. So, even if you couldn't qualify for one job that you wanted because

of your illness, they would examine your previous skills and experience to

determine if you would qualify for a different type of job.

I'm no expert on this by any means! But I found the people at Social

Security very nice and helpful. They also have a webiste where i got a lot

of info.

www.ssa.gov

Oh...you can also go to www.ssa.gov/mystatement and I think you may

be able

to request your earnings statement that way too!

Let me know if you have other questions, you young grandmother, you!!

Yeppers, In that case I guess that everyone one is young thats under 65, is

that right. I agree with that! Yes they are and enjoy it while you can. It's

not fun growing old. If I knew I was going to grow this old I would have

treated my body better and taken better care of it, LOL! Y'all take care now

and be PAIN FREE! Love Y'all and have a beautiful Holiday Season!

We Will Win

Love Y'all
