Guest guest
Dearest , I am just stunned, I am so sorry to hear about your new heart problem on top of everything else. I am at a loss for words. You will be in my prayers every night. If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to e-mail me or call (see Stills site), I live in Seattle and almost feel like we are neighbors ( I am from Spokane originally). Remember we only have today, tomorrow will be our treasure and our future is our ultimate gift. Live for the moment, please try not to be so hard on yourself with all the emotional stress. All of us here are here for you, when you need us, just call, write whatever it takes. Speaking for myself, I have pretty broad shoulders for you to lay your head on for awhile and just vent, cry or just rest for awhile. Please keep us all posted on how you're doing. Hugs, Lorie
Guest guest
Dear , Just a hint: Use sea salt in place of table salt. A couple of years ago I had one sinus infection after another, and I found that the " sea salt " works better. You can find it at a nutrtion center, and it isn't expensive. Also, ask your doc for a prescription for " Rhinocort. " Since using that my sinus problems have improved a whole lot. It's a nasal spray. I'm feeling like you in the way that if one thing don't get me, the other one will. My problem is that I am beginning to wonder if my body is going to say " no " to the MTX injections just like it does to almost any other meds I have taken.. it's almost like the " crap " being piled on, is by big shovel fulls., and it takes a lot to keep " trying " to dig out with a teaspoon. So, my friend, I love you, and somehow you will handle this sinus thing just as you handled every other mountain you have climbed. A sense of humor, your family, and time. You live in Idaho don't you?? Look up Marty's ex, give me a call... somehow I'll get there, and we can slap her up for what she did to Marty. Who knows...maybe we'd feel better! Love & hugs sweety, ~~tricia~~ -- sinus CT/heart damage I wanted to let you all know what I found out about my CT. Everything is fine. Nothing to worry about. Meaning, there is no reason for me to keep getting sinus infections except, and these are the word of the doc, because I am on Remicade and they do increase my risk of infection and also because the Remicade lowers my bodies immune system. So after a long phone conversation what I am left with is: 1. deal with the sinus infections so long as treatments keep working and get off the Remicade when I stop responding to antibiotics or get a bigger infection or 2. get of Remicade. Well you can guess which one I took. So what he wants me to do it limit the amount of dust in my house, replace any old carpets, get an air purifier, and rinse out my sinuses everyday with a salt water/baking soda rinse. So it is the classic " live with it " kinda thing. Ok I can do that. Just a big mug of tea and a box a tissues is all I need. I got a call from the law firm that is handling my part of the fen-phen case for me. my test results came back on my Echocardiogram. I have heart damage. They want me to get the copies of my last one three years ago and then fax it to them so they can figure out where I go in the law suit. So know I have one more thing to add to my plate of crap. Now I am wondering I am going to die from the heart thing first or the Still's I guess it is a race of the disease for my soul. I am bitter if you can tell. I think I am need a break. I break from my body. I know I know, suck it up and be a good trouper. I DON T WANT TO!! Love Always, ~~I HOPE YOU DANCE~~ crimsons@... Guest guest
Sorry, me again ....must put in my two cents about Rhinocourt. My son has been using it off and on and it is fab!! He is so much clearer and has had a lot fewer infections { he is 7, and off and on prednisone and they don't interfere..} The only thing is it can be a little drying so you have to use a nasal spray { eeewwwwww} but it has really worked wwonders for him. Ok, being quiet for a bit now.. Hard for me to settle down lately . My sons both accuse me of being rather " Tiggerish " { bounce pounce bounce pounce..} GotFM
Guest guest
, Just to put in my two cents worth...........I had the same thing with the sinus infections all the time. Went to an allergist who said...rip up the carpets, install air cleaner, (and I never can remember which either) a humidifier or de-humidifier. So we did. I have beautiful hardwood floors under all the nasty carpeting, with the air cleaner I only have to dust every once in a while instead of all the time and I can breathe so much better. Knock on wood, I haven't had a sinus infection, cold, or bronchitis since the make over. The only thing I didn't do that he said to do was get rid of my dog and cat. I had considered shaving them both but my Cat dared me so I left them alone. Jan
Guest guest
Dear , You don't have to suck it up and be a trooper -- at least not today or even tomorrow!! This all is a totally annoying and painful and scary situation (at least to me it would be). So I think it's right that you can scream about it. And when you are ready, you'll get the info. you need together. In the meantime, you have every right to scream, rant, and rave and here is a fine place to do it (with people who love you and understand!). Hnag tight! And stay as healthy as you can! Love you,
