Guest guest
Hi all, Haven't posted much lately as have been behind, etc with all the school stuff and getting the kids into their respective activities.....KWIM????? Kaitlyn started highschool and is loving it. She was asked to be student manager on Volleyball, so she is gone alot for that and then had early morning band practice etc.... Libby is in 6th grade and the BB season has already started. They also just started band and she picked the sax so luckily she and Kaitlyn have sectionals at the same time in the mornings, so we only have to drive once. igh started in Early Childhood Special Ed preschool in the mornings and kindergarden in the afternoons.....So, she is gone all day everyday...Talked with her preschool teacher this morning as on Friday she chopped part of her hair off, right at the base of her neck.....and her hair is almost down to her butt....UGH. Found out that she scored the highest in her K class for the prereading skills, so wonder what that will mean in regards to her staying in the Preschool area to get the OT stuff....When I watch and her and compare motor planning.....there is no comparison.....I know you aren't supposed to compare kids, but is almost three years younger and does a better job with eating and all that motor stuff... As for , We are on our second sinus infection this fall. We still haven't got a final answer from Cincy on anything.....I emailed Dr. B with some questions last week and he hasn't replied. I feel like a broken record. I think if we didn't treat as soon as we do, that he would be getting sicker than he does. He hasn't gained any weight since this summer....He is getting taller, but only weighes 34# now with shoes and clothes on.....and that probably means he has lost some weight, especially now with the cooler weather....The labs at Cincy showed an IGG of 389 now and the IGA and IGM are now low again also....Certainly don't know what to make of that. I am considering not taking him in when I do...I usually wait a week with symptoms and then take in....and just see what happens. I think Influenza is already out there according to one of Libby's friends' mothers. Her daughter was very sick already this year and he feels it is influenza and made the comment to her that in a month " everyone's labs will look like her.. " Makes me a little nervous. Welcome to the newbies. To everyone who is battling sickness, I wish you a speedy recovery. For those with IVIG shortage issues, please contact the IDF. They don't have the safety net program, but are keeping track.... I send my best wishes to those suffering from Katrina and Rita, makes the thunderstorms and blizzards of North Dakota seem mild.....I'll take 40 below over hurricanes any day.... Wishing a happy fall to everyone. Take Care. Mom to , 3 yo, with ????? diagnosis, maybe just an overreactive mother... and Three otherwise healthy girls.....
