Guest guest
Just over a year ago I had a run-in with new boss, the *%$~`-hole. They took the bus off this hill and had me driving it 8 times a day, a total of about 125 miles per day. That is up from 68 miles if the bus is parked on top. Just after New Year's I wrote a letter and sent out to all on the School Board. Last Monday I was invited to the Executive Session to discuss my proposal.. they looked like a firing squad, lol.. The Superintendent and my (insert word here) boss pretty much made fools of themselves in trying to shoot me down. Not only that, several times they were quite openly hostile to me. I amazed myself by keeping my cool... almost unheard of. Super, in a last ditch effort, tried using a substitute against me saying he came in much faster that I. Pointed out this is the same guy that got pulled over with a load of kids by the Staters and had slammed the brakes in another bus so hard that one kid was injured. For no reason... just a stop sign. I asked if safety wasn't the most important thing... I have been driving for this school for almost 11 years now and not scratched or wrecked a bus or injured a child. Got the message on Wednesday... I get to keep the bus at my home! I won! I won! Lol, I won! I have a pain appointment tomorrow and on my way back will pick up the bus to bring home for the morning. I get to sleep in about 1.5 hours and will get home the same amount earlier in the afternoons. Driving has been killing me and now I feel like I have a chance at it, will be interesting to feel the difference. Not that I wanted to grow up and drive school bus, but it is here and one of the few jobs that offer insurance... especially for part time work. WHEW!!!Hope you all are having a good one Llinda...
