Guest guest
We have been back two weeks and is doing great in cast #8. The doc got him down to 25* in this cast! YEA!!!! I even got them to place an order for knit rite shirts while I was there. they are going to order the grey w/o the neck or arms. (when we were at Duke wore a white one like that) So far so good as far as comfort in the cast. We had a scare in the cast room when we went to have the cast trimmed and moleskin applied. started screaming and crying with pain in his back. He had not ever complained of out right pain under the cast before. Other than that he has done great! I can truly say that we live a normal life even having a child in a cast. I try everyday to focus on his good health rather than focus on his scoliosis! We are usually all very teary eyed when time rolls around to remove the cast and then when it goes back on. Other than that we do our best to count our blessings which are far too many to count! Thanks for all the support each of you give and taking time to show concern and answer questions. I look back now and remember how truly scared to death I was going into his first cast and now it's been 15 months since the first one was applied. Our family has a new way of life now and a much stronger faith.
