Hi everyone,

Thank you for the help with information and support. was casted at

Chicago Shriners right before Christmas. She was 46 degree outside the cast and

6 with the first cast. I try not to be over optimistic, but I am happy that she

seems flexible.

The team in Chicago was amazing! We had an awesome experience and they were

extremely helful!

did great on her initial days with the cast and now runs around

everywhere as if it was not even there. We were concerned, but everything went

well and better than our expectations. She took around 2-3 days to find a way

of standing-up by herself and move around at night (in her crib).

We extended our stay in Chicago by two days to make sure that the cast was

properly trimmed and that was doing fine to fly.

To date, the only maintenance we had to do was add some cotton (moleskin)

between her belly and the cast. I bought the duct tape recommended, but did not

have to use it yet.

Showering her head became a great family time and we try to always do it

together. Life is back to normal and we are very grateful to have found

support, information and treatment.

Happy New Year,

Perdigao Family
