Guest guest
I took my girls to a festival a few towns away today. They had 3 small kiddy rides. A carousel, a train and some type of airplane one. None of these did anything but go in a big circle. On the rides that weren't the carousel, they were pretty much on a big track and the kids sit in a seat and it goes around the track. Pretty simple and slow. I had both of my daughters on each one a few times. It has been cool here this weekend, so Avery had a shirt on over her cast. It started warming up, so I took her shirt off and she just had her knit rite shirt under her cast on. When I tried to take her to the same ride she had been on 3 times, they tried to deny her to ride. I was pretty upset. The girl just started pointing to the sign before the ride. She pointed to the part about injured people not being able to ride. Avery isn't injured. I tried to explain what her cast was for about 5 minutes, before my aunt stepped in and told her that Avery had ridden 3 times and how about we just put her shirt back on. The girl was afraid to get into trouble. I understand that they have to do their job, but I was pretty frustrated that I had to explain myself for that long after I told her that she wasn't injured. She even asked me what scoliosis was after I tried to explain. The sad part is that it was for liability reasons only. This ride would have been fine for anyone, it was that slow. I shouldn't let it get to me, but I haven't had any negative reactions since she got her cast. I have had curious questions, but haven't ever had to defend her. I know that I have seen posts on here about Disney World, so I know that cast kids ride rides. Has anyone else had this happen?
