Guest guest Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 My nephew is still ill in ICU, he has to have the life support machine otherwise he starts pulling the tubes out as he wants to go home, he hates hospitals so they need to sedate him. He has Invasive Group A setreppecal infection, think its a blood infection which can be catching and you can lose all your skin, have muscle weakness etc. I was told not to visit in the end as it can be catching. I am upset about all this and feel sorry for my sister. Do you know much about this illness? I am crying again tonight not helped by my partners mum, I had a bone scan last week and the report was that I have secondary osteoporosis, so will need medication, she isn't very sympathetic at all, my partner also has osteoporosis but not sure if its the same as mine however straightaway she said he had the same thing and mentionted his physio next week, I have a hospital appointment about my oxygen level too, am hoping I won't need oxygen. I do feel quite stresed with all thats going on, my partner told his mum I was fine, if I moan too much to my partner he said I've got to think about something else! My partners nan is 91, his mum's mum and his mum was saying she is getting wobbly in town, bit of a worry, but would be expected at that age! I look forward to your advice.
