I suppose its possible, but Ive never seen it done. In this scenario, casting would probably be used for maintenance and not to cure.HRH From: infantile scoliosis treatment [mailto:infantile scoliosis treatment ] On Behalf Of wellsraSent: Wednesday, February 08, 2012 2:06 PMinfantile scoliosis treatment Subject: Cast after surgery? Hi all,I'm getting a little ahead of myself here -- and also revealing my ignorance -- but is it ever possible to cast a small child who has already had growth rods placed in her back? Is there any way to remove the rods and try casting instead? Just curious...Thanks!
